Translating a meaningful mission into a refined digital experience

Translating a meaningful mission into a refined digital experience

Caritas Aregak is a nonprofit foundation in Gyumri, Armenia, dedicated to inclusion and empowerment for young people with disabilities and their families. Through therapy, skills training, inclusive employment, and social initiatives such as its bakery and agricultural projects, the organization creates real pathways toward dignity, independence, and participation.

While traveling through Armenia, I came across Caritas Aregak and was deeply moved by the impact of their work. Wanting to apply my UI/UX and web development skills to a meaningful volunteer project, I set out to design a high-quality website that would strengthen their online presence, improve how they communicate their mission, and create a clearer, more effective path for donations and campaign support.

Elevating Aregak’s story through structure and design

Elevating Aregak’s story through structure and design

The challenge was to bring clarity to Aregak’s broad ecosystem of social initiatives and present them in a way that feels both structured and meaningful. The website needed to clearly communicate the role of the Emili Aregak Therapy Center, the inclusive bakery, the greenhouse initiative, and the Aregak Chalet, while making it easy for donors, parents, and international visitors to understand what each area offers and why it matters. I paired that with a premium Scandinavian visual language — built on whitespace, refined typography, and an elegant, restrained layout — to create a digital presence that feels unusually elevated for the nonprofit space and gives Aregak a more distinctive, trustworthy, and memorable identity.

Grateful for the collaboration and what comes next

Grateful for the collaboration and what comes next

I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to this project in such a meaningful way. Working with the Aregak team was a genuine pleasure, and it meant a lot to me to be able to apply my skills in a context like this. What makes the project especially valuable to me is that it does not end with the launch — I will continue supporting Aregak as new CMS pages are added and existing content evolves, helping ensure the site stays consistent, up to date, and aligned with the organization’s needs over time
